The "Tennessean" newspaper reports that Alan Jackson's wife has already completed her second book, "The Road Home." Denise Jackson was on the "New York Times" best-seller list with her debut as an author, "It's All About Him: Finding the Love of My Life." Her second inspirational book will be out in time for Mother's Day. Diamond Rio will participate in the Easter program for the World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. There will be two presentations, one Saturday evening and the other Easter Sunday morning. Gretchen Wilson, Trisha Yearwood, and Little Big Town are among the artists slated to appear at this year's Detroit Downtown Hoedown. Others who will perform at the May 9th through the 11th festival include Lady Antebelum, Lee Brice, Josh Gracin, Jason Michael Carroll, Billy Currington, and Jewel. Time-Life is releasing a three-CD box set "Legends of American Music: George Jones" on May 20th. The project will cover Jones' 50-plus years in country music. Craig Morgan found himself playing to a very receptive room a few weeks ago, when he played his single "International Harvester" at the annual Case International Harvester dealer meeting in Orlando, Florida. Company officials invited Craig to perform at the meeting as a surprise for conference attendees. Rockie Lynne has contributed a song to a new CD that will raise money for the survivors and families of victims from the bridge collapse in Minneapolis, Minnesota last year. Lynne, who is from Minnesota, wrote and recorded "The Chance To Say Goodbye" for the project. The three-CD set, "Musicians for Minneapolis: 57 Songs for the I-35W Bridge Disaster Relief Effort," features a diverse group of singers and songwriters including Bobby Bare Jr., Jason & the Scorchers, and Jim Lauderdale.
