Rodney Atkins Proud Of ACM Album Of The Year Nomination
It has been a great year for Rodney Atkins, who has six nominations heading into this weekend's Academy of Country Music Awards. The singer notes he's most proud of his nod for Album of the Year for "If You are Going Through Hell." He says he worked hard to pick the songs through which he thought he could best reach his fans.
The effort seems to have paid off, as the CD boasts four number one hit singles. Other nominees in the category include Brad Paisley's "5th Gear," Miranda Lambert's "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," Taylor Swift's self-titled effort, and Kenny Chesney's "Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates." The 43rd annual ACM Awards will air live on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. Reba McEntire will return for the tenth time to host the event. |
