Blake Shelton will perform on the next edition of NBC's "Nashville Star." The theme for the evening is "Family Week," and Blake will perform his hit single "Home." Shelton was a judge on the show last year. "Nashville Star" airs Monday night at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
Jessica Simpson joins the roster of Country Thunder USA in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, which takes place from July 16th through the 19th. The singer will perform on the final day of the festival.
Nashville songwriters return to Joe's Pub in New York City for four shows beginning July 17th. Host Bob DiPiero will be joined by Dave Berg, Jedd Hughes, Karyn Rochelle, and Chris Tompkins. These writers have penned hits for such artists as Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood, Rodney Atkins, Carrie Underwood, and Reba McEntire. The other shows will be September 9th, and on October 29th and 30th.
Vince Gill and wife Amy Grant now have a street name after them. The local Habitat for Humanity in Wichita Falls, Texas has named a street in the Fuller Estates subdivision Grant Gill Lane. The organization honored the singers for the donation they made several years ago after playing a concert there. |
