Gatlin Brothers Among Top Musician Golfers
Country stars apparently make good golfers, and the Gatlin Brothers can certainly hold their own on the links. Rudy Gatlin is topping the latest "Golf Digest" list of the best musician golfers, while brothers Steve and Larry are also in the top ten. Rudy's improvement in his game over the last two years helped him bump the 2006 list topper, Kenny G, to second place. Diamond Rio's Marty Roe is in the number three spot followed by Vince Gill, with Steve Azar rounding out the top five. Mac Davis and Clay Walker are among those in the top 20, while Asleep at the Wheel's Ray Benson takes number 25 and pop-turned-country star Darius Rucker is landing at number 28. Kix Brooks, John Michael Montgomery, Rascal Flatts' Joe Don Rooney, and Glen Campbell are all tied in the number 34 spot, and George Strait, Pat Green, and Sawyer Brown frontman Mark Miller are also landing in the top half of the list. Others making the cut include Trace Adkins, Toby Keith, Charley Pride, Willie Nelson, Eric Church, Clint Black, and Charlie Daniels. |
