Georgia High Court: Atlanta Couple Can Sue Over Vaccination
(Atlanta, GA) -- In what is viewed as a landmark ruling, the Georgia Supreme Court has given the green light to an Atlanta couple to go to trial on their allegation that a childhood vaccine caused neurological damage to their young son. The state's high court ruled unanimously that Marcelo and Carolyn Ferrari's lawsuit is not barred by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Compensation Act. Court records indicate that when the Ferraris' 18-month-old son, Stefan, got his vaccines eight years ago, he was a healthy child. Stefan, who is now ten, reportedly has not spoken since getting his shots. |
