Chess Records Biopic Due Out Later This Year
The upcoming movie "Cadillac Records" now has a release date. According to AllHipHop.com, the film's producers are planning to have the flick in theaters on December 5th, while the soundtrack is slated to hit stores three days earlier. The film chronicles the rise of legendary music label Chess Records, which housed such artists as Chuck Berry, Etta James, Little Walter and Willie Dixon. Rapper Mos Def tackles the role of Berry, while Beyonce is portraying James. Other cast members include Cedric the Entertainer as Dixon and Adrien Brody as Leonard Chess, the founder of the Chicago-based label. |
