Study Finds Women Happy With Breast Work
(Chicago, IL) -- The majority of women who have had plastic surgery on their breasts say they're happy with the results. That's according to a new study expected to be presented to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Study author Dr. Eric Swanson says the first-of-its-kind survey found women who had breast augmentations, lifts, combination lift/augmentations and reductions all had very high rates of satisfaction and 99-percent said they would have the surgery again.
Out of 325 women surveyed, 91-percent said they had better self-esteem after their work. The overall satisfaction rate for all procedures was 96-percent. The study also asked women how long they used painkillers after surgery and when they were able to return to work. Most said about five days in both categories. Swanson says that will be a big help when patients ask what they can expect after surgery.< |
