Levon Helm Joins Country Music Hall Of Fame Benefit Show
The Band's former drummer Levon Helm is planning to step out in support of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. He's been added to the lineup for next week's "All for the Hall" show, a benefit for the Nashville-based facility. The event is billed as an old-fashioned "guitar pull," and will feature songs, stories, unique musical collaborations, and memories from some of country's biggest names. Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, and Rodney Crowell are also on board for the fundraiser, along with Larry Campbell, who worked with Helm on his most recent Grammy-winning CD, "Dirt Farmer." Actor Billy Bob Thornton has been tapped to host the festivities, and he'll also take the stage to perform with his band, the Boxmasters. |
