Vedder, Tucker Do Doe
X's John Doe has many fans and he can count Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder and Sleater-Kinney's Corin Tucker among them. The two musicians have teamed up to record a cover of Doe's single "The Golden State" for a new EP. The version is one of five different takes on the song that make "The Golden State" EP. The original album version featuring Doe with Kathleen Edwards makes the cut, as does a remix by Neighbors, an electric demo version, and a live radio station performance version. The EP is currently available at Yep Roc's online store or at select indie retailers. |
