Cat Power Continues Covers
Cat Power's days of covering songs may be coming to an end. The singer-songwriter has enjoyed a successful string of cover songs in recent years, and she says that there are still a few left over from her "Jukebox" sessions. The vocalist adds that the remaining tracks will be included on a new EP titled "Dark End Of The Street." The title track is a classic originally done by Aretha Franklin and James Carr. Other covers making the cut include Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son," The Pogues' "Ye Auld Triangle" and Otis Redding's "I've Been Loving You Too Long (To Stop Now)." Look for "Dark End Of The Street" to surface December 9th. |
