Paisley, Swift On The Charts
Brad Paisley's seeing some "play" on the charts. His latest release, "Play," is debuting at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums list, with first-week sales of just under 54-thousand copies. That figure was also strong enough to land Paisley's disc in the top ten on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, with its entry in the number nine position. In addition, Paisley's lead-off single from the project, "Start a Band," continues to climb the country airplay chart. His collaboration with Keith Urban is currently at number eight on the chart.
But Taylor Swift is leading the country airplay list. Her single "Love Story," from her just released CD "Fearless," is the week's number one song on the chart. Swift's disc is also dominating on iTunes. "Fearless" is at number one on the digital music provider's all-genre Top Albums chart and holds six spots in the mainstream Top 20 list. But on the iTunes Top Country Songs tally, Swift's songs comprise the entire top ten, and she has 13 of the top 15 songs on the list. |
