Carrie Underwood Wins Third-Straight Female Vocalist At CMAs
Carrie Underwood is still the queen of the country music world. The former "American Idol" winner scored her third-straight Female Vocalist of the Year honor at last night's Country Music Association Awards. While accepting the trophy, Underwood still showed gratitude to the country community for accepting her.
Underwood also performed her song "Just a Dream" at the event. Because the tune is about a woman whose husband dies in combat, CMA producers had a woman whose husband was killed in Afghanistan introduce her. Last night's CMAs also featured Lil Wayne playing guitar with Kid Rock, and Shania Twain handing out an award. It was Shania's first public appearance since her high-profile separation from husband Robert "Mutt" Lange back in May. |
