Brad Paisley Pleasantly Surprised by Instrumental Album's Success
It's been a big week for country superstar Brad Paisley. He co-hosted the 42nd annual CMA Awards Wednesday night, and took home the CMA trophy for Male Vocalist of the Year. Meanwhile, his mostly instrumental CD "Play" debuted in the number one spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. Paisley says that with the project he wanted to include a few fan-friendly selections.
Paisley and pal Keith Urban trade licks on the album's first single, "Start a Band." They played the tune live for the first time during CMA Awards, but Paisley notes he hopes it won't be their last collaborative performance. He says he envisions touring with Urban, at least on a limited basis, to support the project. |
