Rascal Flatts Reflect On Longevity, Success
The guys in Rascal Flatts are enjoying their sixth straight CMA Vocal Group of the Year title. The trio earned the honor at the 42nd annual CMA Awards this week. Band member Gary LeVox attributes their successful in part to their ability to put their egos aside when it comes to the music.
Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus also notes that he LeVox and Joe Don Rooney also have a strong friendship, which helps the process. He says they've worked hard to maintain their relationship, explaining that they always, quote, "try to put the other person first," and to approach disagreements, "with the respect and love we first started out having for one another, and that's kept us going through the years." Rascal Flatts plans to keep on going, at least through the first part of next year. The group will launch the 2009 edition of their "Bob That Head" tour in January, and have dates booked through mid March. |
