Rosanne Cash Finally Sees "Folsom Prison" Documentary
Rosanne Cash has finally seen the documentary "Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison." Rollingstone.com says the late country legend's daughter took part in a special screening of the film in New York City Wednesday night, which was the first time she'd seen the completed project. The screening served as a fundraiser for PAX, a group that works to protect children from gun violence. Cash says she believes her father would have approved of using the film as a benefit for the organization, noting Johnny would have loved the idea that, quote, "something about Folsom Prison helped prevent gun violence." Rosanne is included in the movie, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at Johnny's landmark concert. "Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison" is currently being screened internationally at various film festivals. It was released in the U.S. last month as a CD/DVD set in honor of the 40th anniversary of Cash's special show. |
