Christina Milian Working Her Way Back Into The Spotlight
Just a few years after a controversial parting of the ways with the Def Jam Records label, singer-actress Christina Milian is poised for comeback. Milian is now signed to the new MySpace Records label and testing the waters with a new single from her upcoming new album. Now 27, the singer says she has used these last few years out of the spotlight to regroup. The ballad "Us Against The World" is the first single from Milian's still-untitled fourth studio album, due out in the Spring of 2009. Inspired by the troops serving overseas, Milian, who wrote the track, also describes it as a love song. The 27-year-old singer is also promising more club-thumping tracks to satisfy fans of her earlier hits like "Dip It Low" and "AM to PM." Milian describes her new album as "very feminine, strong and independent." Her last album "So Amazing" was released through Island Def Jam in May of 2006. A few weeks later, a rep for the singer confirmed Milian had severed ties with the label, due to "creative differences."
