Good Charlotte Go For "Blink"
Good Charlotte is hoping to step up with their next album and take the lead from those that came before them. Singer Joel Madden tells MTV.com that the group has a particular sound, and he feels this style of music is sorely lacking in a leader since the exit of Blink-182. He says, quote, "I think there's a need for a new Blink-182 album, and they're not working on an album. I'm a huge Blink-182 fan, but I think in general there's a void for music like that, and in this moment, we're making a record that kind of answers to that void. We'll see, though." The vocalist says that the group has matured in recent years and he's still not sure how that will play into the new music. But one thing fans should not expect is the more dance-oriented direction the group's last album took. Good Charlotte is currently working with an eye toward a summer 2009 release. In the interim look for the band's "Greatest Remixes," in stores November 25th.
