Jimmy Wayne Honored
Jimmy Wayne is getting recognition from his home state. The singer is slated to be named the Country Artist of the Year at the upcoming Charlotte Music Awards, an event described as the Carolinas' version of the Grammys. The North Carolina native is earning the recognition on the strength of his album, "Do You Believe Me Now," which features the chart-topping title track and his latest hit, "I Will." The Charlotte Music Awards Executive Producer Jeff Cheen says Wayne is definitely deserving of the honor, noting, quote, "We have watched his amazing journey this year and are so very happy for him, he is indeed a very talented artist." The Charlotte Music Awards will be presented in a ceremony in Charlotte, North Carolina Thursday night. |
