Robbie Robertson Honored
Robbie Robertson is being recognized for his career achievements. The former leader of The Band will receive a special concert salute Wednesday from the Experience Music Project and the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. But he admits that he doesn't really look back on his accomplishments, telling the "Seattle Post-Intelligencer" that he's, quote, "kind of all about what's around the next corner." While Robertson says he might one day reflect on his legacy and see his impact on music, he notes, quote, "I just don't go there now." But that doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate the tribute. The classic rocker says he's "completely honored to do this," and adds, "It makes me feel like I'm giving something back and any way to be supportive of EMP feels good." Robertson's Founders Award Celebration is set for the Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame in Seattle. |
