Prince Facing Perfume Company Suit
Prince is being sued over a scent. E!Online reports the "Purple Rain" singer faces a lawsuit from Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics for failing to promote a perfume inspired by his 2006 album, "3121." According to papers filed in the New York State Supreme Court Monday, makers of the perfume that is also named "3121" are suing both Prince and Universal Music Publishing Group for 100-thousand dollars. Revelations claims Prince made himself unavailable for promotional activities despite a promise to promote the scent back in July 2007. They also say they agreed to give Universal 50 percent of the proceeds from "3121" in return for Prince promoting the scent. Universal has since issued a statement calling the claims, quote, "completely without merit." |
