That statement comes from Dr. David Hill, president of the International Union Against Cancer. He calls the current situation a "tragedy" and is urging healthcare policymakers to make better use of cancer-preventing vaccines. World Cancer Day is Thursday and the union will launch a cancer prevention campaign encouraging people everywhere to stop smoking, eat healthier food and get vaccinated against cancer-causing infections.
