Dierks Bentley Takes "Esquire" Songwriting Challenge
Dierks Bentley has a new song on the way. He's among those who took part in "Esquire" magazine's Songwriting Challenge, in which artists were asked to craft a song around the phrase "Somewhere in Mississippi."
The other performers accepting the challenge include Charlie Mars, Bob Schneider, Griffin House, and Ben Kweller. In addition to writing and recording their "Somewhere in Mississippi" song, they were also involved in a two-day fashion shoot, which took place at the Shack-Up Inn in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The musicians are featured in the April issue of "Esquire," which is now on newsstands. Next week "Esquire" will post the five "Somewhere in Mississippi" songs online. Each track will be available as a free download for one day. Bentley's track will be the first to arrive. It'll be posted at www.esquire.com on Monday, March 29th. |
