John Michael Montgomery Honored By Kentucky Music Hall Induction
John Michael Montgomery says he's very proud to be tapped for induction into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. The Kentucky native notes, quote, "It's the ultimate achievement to be inducted into a Hall of Fame in your home state, where you grew up learning your trade, doing something you always loved to do." Montgomery was born in Danville, Kentucky and raised in Garrard County, and he continues to make the Bluegrass State his home, settling in the town of Nicholasville. Montgomery has been tapped to be part of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame's Class of 2011, along with the late Keith Whitley, Steve Wariner, and Patty Loveless, as well as The Goins Brothers, Molly O'Day, and Larnelle Harris. The induction ceremony will take place at the Lexington Center Bluegrass Ballroom in Lexington, Kentucky on April 7, 2011.
