DC Area Can Expect Code Orange Air Quality Though Sunday
(Washington, DC) -- The Washington, DC area can expect Code Orange air quality through Sunday. The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments says that means unhealthy conditions for sensitive groups like children, the elderly and those with heart and respiratory conditions. In addition, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from noon Eastern until 9 p.m. An excessive heat watch will also be in effect on Saturday. Heat indexes are expected to reach triple digits over the next couple of days.<
