Tim McGraw Not Hesitant To Record Heavy Songs
Tim McGraw says he's not afraid to tackle more serious subjects in his music. The singer tells the "Charlotte Observer" he doesn't start albums intending to make them heavy projects, but he won't shy away from a good song that addresses a serious topic, and that he likes a track, quote, "that leans to the heavy side, gets inside you and stays there." But McGraw notes that when it comes to his song selection process, quote, "I just record songs I gravitate toward. And as you get older, you have a little more life experience and can do those songs with some credibility." Some of the heavier songs on his current CD, "Southern Voice," includes "If I Died Today," "Love You Goodbye," and "Forever Seventeen." McGraw is currently on tour supporting the album. His next show will be in Nampa, Idaho on Thursday. |
