"Tennessee Bird Walk" Singers Getting Hometown Honor
Jack Blanchard & Misty Morgan are headed to the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. BuffaloNews.com says the country duo, perhaps best known for the 1970 Grammy nominated chart-topping hit "Tennessee Bird Walk," is among those who've been selected for the Buffalo Music Hall's Class of 2010. While the singers were Florida-based when they launched their career, both Blanchard and Morgan were born in Buffalo. Other honorees include singers Jessie Galante and Ray Evans, the group Kathy Lynn and The Playboys, and blues performer Mark Winsick, as well as concert promoter Eddie Tice and Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Musical Director Jo Ann Falletta. They'll all be recognized at a gala at Tralf Music Hall in Buffalo on October 7th. |
